Summary: The old Spanish conquerors can be blamed for a lot of things. The decline of several Mesoamerican civilizations, bringing new diseases into the New World, and overall being pompous a-holes. But now, what remains of their bitter reign are coming back, just not in the way they might have intended...

History: In 1590, a platoon of conquistadores was sent to the New World to seek out El Dorado, the fabled City of Gold. But what they found instead was a curse placed upon the tomb they raided by a vengeful priest that basically meant that they'd be slaughtered by skeletons, some of which were of their own, and rise from the dead like their predecessors in case another raided the tombs. And this curse managed to accrue many, MANY skeletons. So imagine the fear a few modern day people must have felt when they gave the skeletons a rude awakening...

Notable Kills: Nothing special.

Final Fate: After the army of the dead comes in full force, a nearby radio tower is shocked to such an extent that the spreading electricity absolutely destroys the skeletons. At least one manages to get his hands on a gold coin before permanent death, at least.

Powers/Abilities: Can rise back after being seemingly killed.

Weakness: Electricity, though it helps to separate them from their parts.

Scariness Factor: 2-Sadly, the awesome premise of a horde of bone warriors carrying swords and, if given the chance, guns is put into the grave by some truly atrocious CGI. Even Spinal from the original "Killer Instinct" looks more threatening and less digital than these boneheads!

Trivia: -The Anasazi were also known as the Ancestral Puebloans, a major Native American culture that was widespread across the U.S., not Mesoamerica. That being said, some lived near the region, and all were recognized for their unique architecture erected on the sides of cliffs. Also, don't call them Anasazi, actually. It was a term thrown at them by the Navajo that almost always means "ancient enemies".

-El Dorado was a myth perpetrated mostly by conquistadores, but it was once not a land, but a person. Specifically, a Musica chief from Columbia that would shower himself in gold, as well as offer gold treasures to a sacred goddess at Lake Guatavita.
